Your Big Day
Working with you
Ahead of your big day we will discuss all your requirements over video call, covering the style of music you would like, any specific songs, the timings of the day, set-up, logistics and locations. I can provide advice regarding what kind of music is appropriate for your wedding day and I can also liaise with anyone helping with you the organisation and logistics of the day to make sure my musical accompaniment fits in seamlessly.
On the day itself I typically arrive two hours before I am due to start playing to ensure I have plenty of time to set-up before your guests arrive. I don’t clock-watch at weddings as I know even the best laid plans can go awry, and I won’t stop playing if we go over the agreed time!
Equipment
If the venue doesn’t have a piano I can bring my own full-size and fully-weighted digital piano and very elegant baby grand piano shell for no extra charge. As well as sounding great, it looks very impressive and fits beautifully into any room.
I can also bring an additional digital piano on the day if you would like me to play in another room or outside. The digital pianos are very portable, have guaranteed tuning, and enable easy volume control to suit the requirements on the day.
Your Wedding Ceremony
For your wedding ceremony I will provide background music as your guests are taking their seats and then I will play your choice of songs for your walk up the aisle, during the signing, and as you exit. Often this means I will need to learn new songs, which is all part of the service! If you have any special requests, please contact me and I’ll happily send you a sample recording
Receptions and Wedding Breakfasts
I will play a selection of songs from across my repertoire and take song requests in advance to weave into my setlist. I judge my setlist and style according to each event at which I play. No two weddings are the same and my music will match the atmosphere and ambience of the day.
